Company Overview

SkilloVilla is pioneering an innovative approach to upskilling youth that combines the power of AI and human expertise to deliver exceptional outcomes. Our AI-powered technology mimics a teacher and gives personalized feedback to drive outcomes. Meanwhile, our top 1% industry experts from companies such as Facebook, Google, and Microsoft teach real-life applications and practical use cases, bringing a human touch to the learning experience.

But that’s not all – the same technology also captures the micro-level skillsets of students, which we use to make powerful hiring recommendations for companies. By doing so, we’re not just upskilling individuals but also enabling businesses to hire the right talent 4X faster

About the Opportunity

Business Model

The unique business model and the growth they’ve achieved in recent quarters are highlighted by the increasing global demand for certain skill sets, particularly in India, where they have the potential to become a tech talent surplus. The Founder also emphasized the importance of investing in youth to unlock their potential.

The primary focus is on data skills like data analytics and Python . The platform is designed to teach any skill and they do not guarantee jobs, but instead offer assurance by helping students find jobs through a process that includes resume building, grooming for interviews, and organizing interviews.

They have also partnered with companies to provide job openings. The AI system understands each user’s micro skills to provide recommendations to companies.

While there are concerns about market dynamics potentially impacting their revenue, the team explained that in recessionary conditions, the need for upskilling actually increases.

They are now expanding into the B2B sector, with partnerships with companies like Swiggy. SkilloVilla is also targeting the potential in the BFSI sector.

Revenue Model

There are multiple sources of revenue generation for SkilloVilla.

  • For Uskilling: We charge INR 35k upfront for helping a candidate right from upskilling to helping land his dream job.
  • For Hiring: We plan to charge companies for our hiring SaaS platform i.e. SHS for helping them hire the right talent in a much faster and cost-effective manner. We currently do not charge companies for hiring through the platform.
  • B2B Employee Training: The same technology of delivering powerful content and assessing candidates while they learn can be used by companies to upskill their employees and use the skill data to effectively create growth plans for their employees basis their performance in the course. (We have onboarded Swiggy to train their employees).
